Joe knows I’m losing interest when I start scrolling through Facebook during sporting events. Aka – keep ME entertained when watching basketball. Not only did I whip up a fun wine cocktail (scroll down for the recipe) and a light brunch spread, we threw in a basketball version of Bingo to keep everyone entertained. (Yes, I reluctantly changed out of my pajamas 😊) Being on the west coast and the Pacific Time Zone we can literally watch basketball first thing in the morning with our pajamas, so brunch was a perfect theme. The gals who came to watch the game definitely appreciated it. Swapping out the standard orange décor and heavy appetizers, we went with more of a light brunch theme with a fun wine cocktail. But since we end up inviting neighbors to stop by for big games, I wanted to make it a little bit more festive than the typical beer & pizza style gathering.
Although admittedly a game day party wouldn’t at the top of my list.
And tis the season for basketball, so that’s how we’re going to party.
